Summary
The Expedited Appeals Review Act establishes a process for expedited review of appeals filed with the Department of the Interior's Board of Land Appeals. Parties may request expedited review by submitting written notice, which requires the Board to issue a final decision within 6 months of the notice (but no earlier than 18 months after the appeal was initially filed). If the Board fails to meet this deadline, the original Interior Department decision becomes final agency action and is subject to de novo judicial review.
