Refund Policy

Pro is a recurring subscription. You can cancel any time. We don't auto-refund unused time, but we do issue refunds for billing mistakes, technical failures, and a 14-day “didn't mean to subscribe” window. Plain-English version below.
How Pro works
DeepSyte™ Pro is sold as a recurring subscription with two billing options:
- Monthly — $5.00 USD per month, billed each month
- Annual — $50.00 USD per year, billed once per year
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our merchant of record. Your card is charged automatically at the start of each billing period. You receive a receipt by email after each charge.
Cancellation
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Two ways:
- In-app: sign in and visit your billing portal. There you can manage payment method, view invoices, and cancel.
- By email: send a cancellation request to hello@deepsyte.app from the email address on the account. We'll process it within one business day.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep Pro access until then. We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of the period in which you cancel — that's the trade-off for letting you keep access through the end without an early-termination penalty.
When refunds apply
We issue refunds in the following cases:
14-day “didn't mean to subscribe” window
If you signed up for Pro within the last 14 days and have not actively used Pro features (no AI deep-reads run, no race watchlist additions), you can request a full refund of your most recent charge. We'll process it without requiring a reason.
Duplicate or unauthorized charges
If your card was charged twice for the same billing period, or charged without your authorization (account compromise, family member subscribed without permission), we will refund the unauthorized charge in full. We may ask for a brief explanation to help us prevent it happening again, but we won't challenge you on it.
Service unavailability
If the service is unavailable for an extended period (more than 24 hours of consecutive Pro-feature downtime documented in our incident logs) during a billing period you paid for, we will issue a pro-rated refund for the affected days on request.
Material policy changes
If we make a material change to these terms or to Pro features that you don't accept, you may cancel and request a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of your current billing period.
When refunds don't apply
- You decided you don't need Pro after using it for several weeks (cancel — keep access through the period — done)
- You forgot you subscribed and we charged a renewal you didn't cancel in time (the 14-day window covers some of these; older renewals don't qualify)
- You found a different tool you prefer (cancel and we'll wish you luck — but no refund for the time already paid)
How to request a refund
Email hello@deepsyte.app from the email address on your account, with:
- The date of the charge you're asking us to refund
- A brief description of which case above applies (or just “I didn't mean to subscribe” if it's within 14 days)
We aim to respond to refund requests within 2 business days. We won't make you fight for refunds that fall under the cases above — they're documented here so you don't have to ask.
Processing time
Approved refunds are issued through Paddle, our payment processor. The refund typically appears on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer. We will send you an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.
Founding-member rate guarantee
The founding-member rate ($5/month or $50/year) you see at the time you subscribe is locked in for the life of your continuous subscription. We may raise the headline price for new subscribers in the future; you will keep paying the founding rate.
If you cancel and later re-subscribe, the rate at the time of re-subscription applies — the founding rate does not survive a gap in subscription. To preserve the founding rate, keep your subscription active.
Refunds do not affect the founding-member rate. If you receive a refund and remain subscribed, your rate continues at the founding price.
