This bill amends the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 to authorize the FBI Director to make security clearance and classified information access determinations for political appointees in the Executive Office of the President. Political appointees would be prohibited from working in the Executive Office of the President unless employment is consistent with national security, and they could not obtain security clearances or access classified information without FBI Director approval. If the President denies, suspends, or revokes an FBI Director's clearance determination, the President must notify Congress within 30 days with a written explanation.
