The POD Act of 2024 prohibits the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Health and Human Services from restricting Members of Congress or their designated staff from entering detention facilities for aliens and alien minors. The bill requires immediate access for Members to general detention facilities and access within 24 hours for designated staff, and access within two business days for facilities housing alien minors.
