This bill amends the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act to automatically extend residential leases for servicemembers whose lease terms end during deployment. The lease would extend on a monthly basis through the month containing the 30th day after deployment ends. Servicemembers may waive this protection in writing before the first extension or elect to end an extended lease at the end of any month during the extension period.
