The Clean CLAIMS Act establishes a three-year Medicare demonstration project in which Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) would partner with at least 500 physicians to test an artificial intelligence platform that automatically generates and submits Medicare Part B claims based on recorded patient-physician encounters. The platform would apply payer guidelines and populate supporting medical documentation. During the demonstration, beneficiaries would have no cost-sharing liability for incorrectly billed or non-covered services, and submitted claims would be exempt from Medicare's Recovery Audit Program.
