This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior, in consultation with the Secretary of Agriculture, to evaluate phosphate, potash, and other minerals used in fertilizer production for designation as critical minerals under federal law. The Secretary must submit a report within 90 days assessing whether these minerals meet the criteria for critical mineral status, along with recommendations to support domestic production. If the minerals meet the designation requirements, the Secretary must add them to the critical minerals list within 45 days of the report.
