The GAIN Act of 2024 directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to conduct a 5-year demonstration project in which at least 10 eligible entities (local governments, tribes, and nonprofits) provide guaranteed monthly income payments of at least $500 to Medicaid-enrolled individuals.
