This bill amends federal law to count time spent in the Senior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (SROTC) advanced training program toward an officer's total length of service in the Armed Forces. Currently, only enlisted service prior to August 1, 1979, or service in the Selected Reserve counts toward this calculation; the bill extends this to include SROTC advanced training completed on or after the bill's enactment, regardless of which military component the officer served in.
