Summary
This bill amends the Controlled Substances Act to require manufacturers, distributors, and sellers of tableting and encapsulating machines to identify these devices with permanently affixed serial numbers. It also makes it illegal to remove, alter, or obliterate such serial numbers, or to knowingly transport or possess machines with tampered serial numbers. The Attorney General is directed to issue implementing regulations within 180 days.
