Summary
This bill amends the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to require states to maintain funding for school resource officer (SRO) programs in elementary and secondary schools at levels no lower than the previous fiscal year. States that fail to maintain SRO funding without a waiver for extraordinary financial circumstances will face proportional reductions in their federal education funding. States must submit annual certifications and public reports detailing SRO funding amounts and officer counts over a six-year period.
