Summary
This bill amends the TRICARE military health insurance program to eliminate cost-sharing (copayments and deductibles) for all FDA-approved contraceptives and related services for active-duty service members, retirees, and their dependents. It requires TRICARE pharmacy benefits, TRICARE Select, and TRICARE Prime to cover prescription contraceptives, contraceptive insertion and removal procedures, sterilization procedures, and contraceptive counseling without cost-sharing. The bill also requires military medical treatment facilities to provide sexual assault survivors with comprehensive information about emergency contraception and access to emergency contraceptive medications or prescriptions.
