Official CRS summary

This resolution encourages the President and relevant cabinet officials to raise with officials of China's government the U.S. interest in protecting North Koreans seeking asylum or being trafficked in China. The resolution also encourages (1) the Department of State to coordinate diplomatic actions with South Korea, Japan, and other concerned governments to end forced deportation and forced labor of North Koreans living in China; and (2) the Department of Homeland Security to address the issue of North Korean forced labor in China through various means, including by enforcing specified sanctions on goods produced with North Korean labor.
