This bill expands whistleblower protections for contractors and employees of the Department of Defense, NASA, and other federal agencies. It prohibits retaliation against protected individuals who object to or refuse to participate in activities they reasonably believe violate law or regulation, or who disclose information about gross mismanagement, waste of funds, abuse of authority, or dangers to public health or safety. The bill also prohibits executive branch officials from requesting contractors to engage in retaliation, allows for disciplinary action against officials who do so, and makes whistleblower rights non-waivable through arbitration agreements or employment contracts.
