This bill establishes the position of Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for Tribal Relations within the Department of Agriculture (USDA). This position may be responsible for (1) overseeing USDA's Office of Tribal Relations; (2) planning, coordinating, and implementing USDA's policies and programs serving Indian tribes and tribal organizations; (3) coordinating tribal programs and activities in all of USDA's offices and agencies; and (4) participating in negotiated rulemakings associated with USDA's tribal programs.
