Official CRS summary

This bill provides that U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents evacuating Israel in response to the October 7, 2023, attacks by Hamas and the resulting armed conflict shall not be required to reimburse the U.S. government for emergency travel organized by the Department of State during FY2024. The State Department shall report to Congress on the feasibility of expanding funding of such evacuations worldwide in future crises.
