This bill requires the Federal Trade Commission, in consultation with the Secretary of Commerce, to submit an annual report to Congress and relevant agencies assessing foreign investment in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry. The report must evaluate the pharmaceutical supply chain, the effects of foreign investment and manufacturing concentration on domestic drug production capacity, foreign investment in DNA sequencing and storage technologies, and the impact of U.S. pharmaceutical manufacturers relocating facilities overseas. The FTC is authorized to conduct studies necessary to prepare the report, and an unclassified summary must be published on the FTC's public website.
