The VetPAC Act of 2024 establishes a 17-member Veterans Health Administration Policy Advisory Commission, appointed by the Comptroller General, to review operations at the Veterans Health Administration and submit annual reports to Congress with recommendations. The Commission will examine topics including IT infrastructure, care access and wait times, quality of care, workforce issues, patient satisfaction, procurement, research programs, hospital construction, and interactions with Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE. The Commission will meet at least annually, consult with congressional veterans committees, and may conduct special studies as requested.
