This bill amends the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to establish a paid cybersecurity internship program at the Department of Homeland Security. The program would be open to U.S. citizens aged 16 and older who are enrolled in secondary schools, technical/vocational schools, or institutions of higher education. The Secretary of Homeland Security must ensure that each intern class includes participants from diverse educational backgrounds, including community colleges, historically Black colleges and universities, and minority-serving institutions, and must submit annual reports to Congress on program participation and outreach efforts.
