Rebuild America’s Health Care Schools Act of 2024

This bill amends Medicare law to allow hospitals to include all direct and indirect costs of nursing and allied health education programs as allowable costs for reimbursement purposes. The bill expands what costs hospitals can claim, including those incurred directly by the hospital, allocated by related entities holding relevant licenses or accreditations, and costs associated with training at related entities. It also prohibits Medicare from recouping previously paid education costs that would be allowable under the new rules and requires refunds of amounts recouped in the prior six years.
