This bill establishes a Department of Homeland Security Northern Border Mission Center to serve as a centralized operations hub for domain awareness, intelligence sharing, and coordination among federal, state, tribal, local, and international partners along the U.S.-Canada border and Alaska-Russia maritime border. The Center would collocate personnel from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Coast Guard, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and other DHS components at an existing Border Patrol sector headquarters, and would support training, technology testing, counter-unmanned aircraft operations, and resource planning for northern border security. The Center would sunset on October 1, 2027, and no additional appropriations are authorized.
