The Southeast Asian Deportation Relief Act of 2026 halts the removal and detention of nationals from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam who entered the United States on or before January 1, 2008, and have continuously resided here since. The bill authorizes employment for affected individuals and allows those under supervision orders to appear virtually rather than in person for periodic identification. It also permits the Attorney General to reopen and reconsider removal cases for Southeast Asians ordered removed or deported since April 24, 1996, and to vacate prior removal orders if they would not have been subject to removal under this Act.
