Cammack Champions Florida Producers in House Passage of Critical Farm Bill

Position: Rep. Cammack supports the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, which she states strengthens disaster assistance for specialty crops, expands crop insurance and farm safety net programs, invests in rural broadband and agricultural infrastructure, and advances agricultural research to support Florida producers.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, after three long years of delays and failed disaster programs, the House of Representatives successfully passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, delivering a landmark victory for Florida agriculture and securing key priorities championed by Rep. Kat Cammack (FL-03). As the lone Florida Member on the House Agriculture Committee, Rep. Cammack has been a relentless advocate for policies that deliver real relief to Florida's farmers and ranchers. She emphasizes the critical need to support communities across the state impacted by wildfires, droughts, hurricanes, hard freezes, and persistent plant disease outbreaks, even as they continue feeding the nation. "They did not create the chaos of rising input costs. They did not ask for the hurricanes that wiped out their groves and flooded their fields. They did not cause the freezes that killed their crops, or the citrus greening that has devastated entire industries. They absorbed it all quietly and stubbornly, because that is what our producers do," said Rep. Cammack. This legislation directly answers that resilience with action. It strengthens disaster assistance for specialty crops, expands crop insurance and farm safety net programs, invests in rural broadband and critical infrastructure, improves market access for Florida-grown products, and advances agricultural research and innovation to keep producers competitive for years to come. The legislation also makes targeted investments in agricultural research and precision agriculture technologies, equipping Florida producers with data-driven tools to improve productivity, reduce input costs, and make smarter decisions in real time. For a state where agriculture generates more than $10 billion annually and supports hundreds of thousands of jobs, these innovations are not optional, they are essential to long-term competitiveness. “Florida puts nearly $11 billion worth of food on America's table every year and is home to over 44,000 farms and ranches spanning nearly 10 million acres,” said Rep. Cammack. “Florida producers aren't just feeding the state – they’re feeding the nation. These producers are the backbone of our economy and the foundation of our food supply; they deserve a government that works for them.” The bill delivers concrete reforms Florida has long needed. It expands and modernizes the Tree Assistance Program (TAP), a lifeline for Florida's citrus and specialty crop growers who have suffered repeated losses. It reforms USDA disaster assistance to ensure faster, more effective recovery, and establishes a new 120-day deadline for disaster payment decisions, ending the bureaucratic delays that have historically left Florida growers waiting on funds while their operations suffered. "For the farmers and ranchers in Florida, the men and women who wake up before the sun, who work through the hurricanes and the freezes and the disease outbreaks, who have been delivering for this country while Washington didn't deliver for them. This moment is long overdue," said Rep. Cammack. For Florida's farming communities, this bill is more than a policy win. It is long-overdue recognition that the people who feed America deserve a government that works as hard as they do. ### As the lone Florida Member on the House Agriculture Committee, Rep. Cammack has remained a leading voice in advancing policies that ensure Florida’s agricultural communities have the critical support they need to recover from weather disasters, stay competitive, and keep feeding the nation.

Rep. Cammack Leads Bill to Ban Barbaric Abortion Procedures

Position: Rep. Cammack supports federal legislation to ban dismemberment abortion procedures (dilation and evacuation) and establish criminal penalties for physicians who perform them, while explicitly protecting women from prosecution.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Rep. Kat Cammack (FL-03), alongside Pro-Life Caucus Co-Chair, Rep. Bob Onder (MO-03), introduced The Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act of 2026, with companion legislation led by Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) and Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS). This bill bans one of the most barbaric late-term abortion procedures in modern medicine while ensuring women are not the target of prosecution. This legislation establishes a federal prohibition on dismemberment abortions, including dilation and evacuation procedures in which surgical instruments are used to extract an unborn child piece by piece. For decades, this gruesome practice has been routinely performed on unborn children well into their development without a clear federal standard of accountability or consequences for providers who perform it. Under this bill, physicians who knowingly perform these procedures will face fines and/or imprisonment of up to two years. The Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003 stands as the only federal law prohibiting a specific abortion procedure which leaves every other method, including dismemberment abortion, entirely unregulated at the federal level. The Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act establishes a new, separate restriction focused on this particularly sadistic method, while keeping its scope limited and clearly defined. “Under our current system, abortion procedures exist in a legal gray area with no federal standards and no accountability. Providers can perform inhumane extraction methods and face zero consequences. That ends now," said Rep. Cammack. “This bill sets a clear federal standard that holds providers accountable, protects the dignity of all life, and ensures women are protected, not prosecuted." “Dismembering and extracting an unborn child piece by piece is barbaric," said Rep. Onder. "I believe it is both my moral duty and my civic responsibility to defend life at every stage, and as a physician and a member of the Pro-Life Caucus, I am proud to work alongside Rep. Cammack to introduce the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act of 2026. This legislation establishes critical safeguards to protect women from this dangerous and inhumane procedure, while ensuring accountability for the providers who carry out this gruesome practice." “Every life is a precious gift from God and should be treated with dignity,” said Senator Rounds. “Dismemberment abortions are among the most brutal methods of abortion, accounting for around 80% of second trimester abortions. Our legislation would make performing a dismemberment abortion a criminal offense, with the doctor or health care provider who performs it liable to fines and up to two years in prison.” “Every pre-born child is precious and it’s horrifying that any physician, someone trained to save lives, would agree to dismember a child in the womb,” said Senator Hyde-Smith. “The fact that this horrifying procedure is still being done to children who can feel pain in the womb is why we need to enact the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act.” “March for Life Action thanks Rep. Cammack for this important piece of legislation that would stop the barbaric practice of tearing pre-born babies apart limb from limb — which is often performed at a point in pregnancy when babies have the capacity to feel pain,” said Jennie Bradley Lichter, President of March for Life Action. “America is better than that and this bill should be passed with bipartisan support.” “Dismemberment abortions, the most common second trimester abortion method, ends the life of an unborn baby by tearing off her arms and legs, removing her torso, then crushing her tiny head. This barbaric practice takes the lives of 60,000 to 70,000 developed babies every year,” said Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, Vice President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. “We applaud Rep. Cammack, Rep. Onder, and their colleagues in the House for introducing this bill to put an end to these brutal abortions. We look forward to continuing to work with members of Congress to pass legislation that protects unborn children and their mothers from the horror of abortion.” “I am grateful to cosponsor this critical legislation, which exposes the reality of abortion practices and protects unborn babies from the excruciating pain of being dismembered alive,” said Rep. Chris Smith, Co-Chair of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus. “Abortion extremists go to extraordinary lengths to ignore, trivialize, and cover up the battered baby victim. The truth is that unborn babies are society’s youngest patients: they deserve respect, love, and access to healing, life-affirming medical care and interventions.” “As a physician, I believe the practice of medicine requires a commitment to protect and preserve human life, never to take it. The intentional dismemberment of an unborn child is a barbaric practice that violates both medical ethics and human dignity,” said Rep. Harris, Co-Chair of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus. “This legislation defends the sanctity of unborn life, holds providers who perform this procedure accountable, and recognizes rare medical emergencies in which a physician must intervene to save the life of the mother.” “As a proud Christian and conservative, I believe every life is a precious gift from God and must be protected,” said Rep. Williams. “I am proud to be an original cosponsor of Congresswoman Kat Cammack’s Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act. We must put an end to the horrific practice of dismemberment abortions and continue the fight for the most vulnerable among us, the unborn.” “Every unborn child deserves dignity and protection under the law,” said Rep. Steube. “That’s why I’m co-sponsoring the Dismemberment Abortion Act to end one of the most barbaric abortion procedures and protect the life of the mother. We have a duty to defend the most vulnerable.” “Every life is valuable, and we have a responsibility to ensure our laws reflect that basic truth,” said Rep. Tenney. “The Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act places commonsense limits on an inhumane procedure, promoted by the radical Left, while protecting the health and safety of mothers. This legislation ensures accountability for those who perform these horrific procedures and provides important safeguards, including exceptions when a mother’s life is at risk. It is a step toward a more compassionate and responsible approach that respects both women and unborn children.” “I am unequivocally pro-life and will continue to be a vocal and staunch supporter of the rights of the unborn. All life is precious, particularly that which is defenseless and cannot speak for itself,” said Rep. Kelly. “We must promote a culture of life that values and respects the dignity of all human lives, especially the lives of people, such as the unborn. I will continue to do everything I can to defend the right to life, which is why I proudly co-sponsored the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act.” “Dismemberment abortion is a barbaric form of murder. Medical providers that cause the slow, painful death of an unborn child ought to be held criminally responsible,” said Rep. Stutzman. “In addition, this bill allows women to seek damages for physical and psychological harm that often accompanies these horrific procedures. I am proud to cosponsor this bill to stop this cruel practice and allow women to receive compensation for the harms done to them.” “The fundamental right to life is the cornerstone of our nation, and it is our duty to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Dismemberment abortions are an inhumane exercise that have no place in a civilized society,” said Rep. Estes. “I am proud to join Rep. Cammack as an original cosponsor of the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act to end these horrific and abhorrent acts. It is time to uphold the dignity of every unborn child.” Original Cosponsors: Rep. Bob Onder (MO-03) Rep. Chris Smith (NJ-04) Rep. Andy Harris (MD-01) Rep. Michelle Fischbach (MN-07) Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) Rep. Mike Kelly (PA-16) Rep. Sheri Biggs (SC-03) Rep. Ron Estes (KS-04) Rep. Cammack brings both personal conviction and legislative leadership to advocate for policies that empower women, strengthen families, and uphold the fundamental right to life.

Cammack Introduces Landmark Bill to Deliver Critical Mental Health Support for First Responders

Position: Rep. Cammack introduced legislation to strengthen the 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for first responders by requiring targeted outreach, expanding training and awareness efforts, and incorporating privacy safeguards to address barriers to utilization including stigma and confidentiality concerns.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Rep. Cammack (R-FL-03) introduced the Answering the Call Act of 2026, in recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This legislation strengthens the implementation of the 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by ensuring it effectively serves first responders. First responders regularly face traumatic situations that increase the risk of depression, PTSD, substance use, and suicide. Despite the availability of the 9-8-8 Lifeline, utilization among the first responder community remains limited due to stigma, lack of tailored services, awareness and concerns about confidentiality. The Answering the Call Act directly addresses these challenges by requiring targeted outreach and strengthening collaboration with organizations that understand the unique needs of the first responder community. The legislation also expands training and public awareness efforts, while incorporating strong privacy safeguards to ensure information is handled responsibly and used solely to guide future program improvements. This legislation ensures that a critical national resource is accessible, trusted, and better equipped to address the needs of those who serve on the front lines. “First responders run toward danger in our darkest moments—and as the wife of a first responder, I’ve seen the reality of that sacrifice up close,” said Rep. Cammack. “The stress, the sleepless nights, and the weight they carry home after every shift is real. This bill is about having their backs the same way they’ve always had ours. By expanding awareness, protecting privacy, and delivering support tailored to their experiences, we’re making sure our public safety telecommunicators, firefighters, and EMTs have access to the care they deserve.” The bill has earned strong support across the first responder community. “Behavioral health is a readiness issue for the fire service,” said Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association President William Barrs. “Supporting the mental wellness of our personnel not only protects the individuals who serve our communities but also strengthens the resilience and effectiveness of our emergency response systems. The Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association stands ready to assist in advancing this important legislation and to partner in efforts that improve the health, safety, and well-being of our nation’s first responders.” “Congresswoman Kat Cammack has long been a friend to Florida’s sheriffs and a steadfast advocate for law enforcement. The Answering the Call Act of 2026 is yet another example of her continued advocacy for law enforcement," said Florida Sheriffs Association President and Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma. “Florida’s sheriffs are grateful for the federal support focused on the mental health and well-being of our first responders.” ### Congresswoman Kat Cammack represents Florida’s Third Congressional District. As a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, she serves on the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. Rep. Cammack is a dedicated advocate for the public safety community, championing policies that support the health, safety, and well-being of Americas first responders.

Rep. Cammack Secures Major Florida Wins as Farm Bill Advances Out of Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C – Today, following 25 hours of markup, the House Agriculture Committee passed the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 (H.R. 7567) with bipartisan support, advancing the long-awaited farm bill to the next stage of consideration. Congresswoman Kat Cammack’s (R-FL-03) top priorities were successfully secured in the bill, including major wins for Florida producer. “For years, producers have been operating without the stability they need to plan and invest,” said Cammack. “The farm bill is the backbone of American agriculture, food security, and rural communities. This legislation delivers meaningful improvements for Florida farmers and ensures our growers have the tools they need to recover, rebuild, and compete.” Cammack pointed to the toll hurricanes, flooding, and recent freezes have taken on Florida’s specialty crops, citrus groves, berry farms, and nursery operations, noting the bill strengthens the agricultural safety net to reflect the realities growers face. The legislation modernizes the Tree Assistance Program (TAP) to cover trees and plants that are no longer economically productive after disasters, not just those destroyed. It also allows replanting flexibility, requires USDA decisions within 120 days, and authorizes upfront payments to help farmers recover faster. The bill also establishes a Specialty Crop Emergency Assistance Framework, calculating disaster assistance based on prior-year sales while accounting for higher production costs. Cammack’s Priorities Passed in H.R. 7567 All three of Rep. Cammack’s top farm bill priorities were included in the legislation: AGI Reform: Farmers with at least 75% of income from agriculture can exceed the $900,000 disaster payment cap. Citrus Research: Citrus greening research trust fund extended through 2031. Voluntary Base Acre Update: One-time update tied to 2019–2023 planting history beginning in 2026. Key Florida Wins Citrus & Tree Growers Upfront replanting assistance 120-day disaster decision deadline Flexible grove replanting Specialty Crops Disaster and market disruption payments Aid based on real sales data Higher caps for full-time producers Specialty Crop Programs (Through 2031) Block grants extended Producers help set state priorities Market News funding continued Crop Insurance Stronger coordination for specialty crops Producer input on new policies Additional Florida Wins Forestry and wood innovation investments Expanded rural broadband Federal sugar program protected Additional provisions in the legislation expand rural broadband, strengthen agricultural research and innovation, modernize forestry programs, support specialty crop producers, and improve oversight of foreign purchases of U.S. agricultural land. The Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 now heads to the House floor for consideration.

Rep. Kat Cammack Praises Death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Position: Rep. Cammack expresses support for the operation that resulted in Ayatollah Khamenei's death, characterizing him as a terrorist and stating hope that the action will prevent further U.S. military engagement in the region.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, "Operation Epic Fury" resulted in Khamenei’s death. Tonight, I am thinking of all my fellow Americans who had a loved one injured or killed due to his diabolical terror spree. Khamenei was a terrorist and a scumbag. He can rot in hell for all the terror he inflicted around the world. The situation in Iran and across the Middle East is evolving by the moment, and I am monitoring it closely. I look forward to a briefing from the Administration as soon as possible. As an America First constitutional conservative, avoiding the prolonged wars and conflicts that my generation experienced firsthand, many on the battlefield, is critical. I am hopeful today’s actions will prevent further necessary engagement and put direct threats to the United States to rest. God bless our troops.
