ICYMI: Rep. Ronny Jackson Highlights Maritime Security and Naval Readiness at 2026 Sea-Air-Space Expo

Position: Rep. Jackson advocates for increased naval investment and modernization to maintain U.S. military superiority at sea, particularly in response to China's naval expansion and emerging threats including cyber capabilities and autonomous systems.

WASHINGTON — Representative Ronny Jackson (TX-13) recently participated in the Navy League of the United States’ 2026 Sea-Air-Space exposition, where he joined a Congressional panel focused on naval fleet readiness, emerging defense technologies, and the growing threat China poses to global maritime security. During the discussion, Rep. Jackson highlighted the importance of maintaining American military superiority at sea through continued investment in both personnel and platforms, while also strengthening the nation’s maritime industrial base to support the Department of War’s long-term national security objectives. “As warfare evolves and our adversaries increasingly rely on cyber capabilities, autonomous systems, and grey-zone tactics in the undersea domain, our Navy must rapidly modernize the fleet to maintain America’s naval superiority,” said Rep. Jackson. “Thankfully, President Trump’s FY27 Navy budget is meeting this challenge head on, making a historic investment in American sea power and marking the strongest commitment to naval dominance in decades.” As a Navy veteran with 25 years of service and a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Rep. Jackson continues to advocate for policies that strengthen America’s military capabilities, modernize defense infrastructure, and reinforce the nation’s maritime industrial base to keep pace with the threat of China’s rapid naval expansion. Sea-Air-Space is the premier maritime exposition in the United States, bringing together military leaders, lawmakers, and defense industry experts to discuss the future of national defense and maritime strategy.

ICYMI: Rep. Ronny Jackson Advocates for FISA Section 702 Reform and Reauthorization

Position: Rep. Jackson advocates for the reauthorization of FISA Section 702, arguing that it is essential for national security and intelligence gathering capabilities, and supports the reforms implemented by House Republicans to strengthen oversight and accountability.

WASHINGTON — Last week, Representative Ronny Jackson (TX-13) delivered remarks on the House floor advocating for reform and reauthorization of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), emphasizing its vital role in protecting national security while maintaining strong oversight and accountability. Rep. Jackson highlighted 56 reforms to Section 702 implemented by House Republicans in 2024, noting that last week’s House-passed reauthorization measure adds further safeguards to ensure the tool is used precisely to target dangerous foreign threats. “Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act is a unique and critical tool that enables our Intelligence Community to gather vital intelligence, protect our national security, and safeguard Americans from terrorist attacks,” said Rep. Jackson. “No other foreign intelligence authority can replace the speed and agility of Section 702. If this authority expires, we will substantially degrade U.S. national security and our intelligence officers’ ability to identify foreign threats in real-time.” Click here or above to watch Rep. Rep. Ronny Jackson Joins the FAIR Labels Act, Fights for Texas Ranchers and Cattlemen

Subscribe to receive the latest news, insights, and updates directly to your inbox. WASHINGTON — Representative Ronny Jackson (TX-13) recently co-led the introduction of Rep. Mark Alford’s (MO-4) Fair and Accurate Ingredient Representation on Labels (FAIR Labels) Act, which will strengthen transparency for consumers and protect Texas ranchers and cattle producers by establishing clear labeling standards for cell-cultivated and plant-based protein products. “Americans deserve to know exactly what’s on their plate. As the representative of Texas’ top cattle-producing district, I’ve seen firsthand the hard work and high standards our ranchers and cattlemen bring to producing the best beef in the world,” said Rep. Jackson. “For years, fake meat companies have exploited the reputation built by America’s cattle producers to mislead consumers and market fundamentally different products. The FAIR Labels Act ensures clear labeling of cell-cultivated and plant-based products, giving families the transparency needed to make informed choices about their food.” “Food labels should be clear and avoid any attempt to mislead, confuse or misrepresent what is included in the product,” said Laphe LaRoe, Chairman of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. “The FAIR Labels Act requires USDA and FDA to develop food product definitions that will alleviate consumer confusion and provide certainty that the labels on the food we purchase are truthful. TCFA appreciates Rep. Jackson for his work and leadership on this important issue that will benefit beef consumers and cattle producers.” “Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) appreciates Congressman Ronny Jackson’s leadership on the Fair and Accurate Ingredient Representation (FAIR) on Labels Act," said Russell Boening, President of the Texas Farm Bureau. "This legislation is an important step toward ensuring transparency in the marketplace, protecting the integrity of real meat products, and preventing consumers from being misled. We urge Congress to pass this legislation.” “Currently, there is no federal statute for labeling cell-cultivated protein products in the marketplace,” said Gene Copenhaver, President of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. “For far too long, lab-grown protein companies have exploited the use of terms like ‘meat’ and ‘beef’ to describe their products, creating the potential for consumer confusion through misleading marketing. The FAIR Labels Act will establish a federal guideline for labeling cell-cultivated and plant-based alternative protein products, ensuring consumers can easily differentiate these products from real beef products produced by U.S. cattlemen and cattlewomen. We thank these members of the House and Senate for their efforts to protect truthful beef labeling and deliver clarity in the marketplace.” Additional cosponsors include Representatives Buddy Carter (GA-01), Mike Flood (NE-01), August Pfluger (TX-11), Mike Simpson (ID-02), Jason Smith (MO-08), and Tony Wied (WI-08).

Rep. Jackson Introduces Bill to Modernize America’s Defense Technologies and Strengthen U.S.-Israel Alliance

Position: Rep. Jackson introduces legislation to establish a U.S.-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative aimed at accelerating joint development of next-generation defense technologies, including AI and missile defense systems, to strengthen the bilateral alliance and enhance military capabilities.

Subscribe to receive the latest news, insights, and updates directly to your inbox. WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) introduced the United States-Israel Framework for Upgraded Technologies, Unified Research, and Enhanced Security (FUTURES) Act of 2026. This bill would strengthen the U.S.–Israel alliance and establish a United States–Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative to accelerate the development and deployment of next-generation defense technologies, ensuring that investments in collaborative technologies deliver an operational edge to America's servicemembers. Representative Don Davis (NC-01) is co-leading this legislation in the House, and Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) are introducing companion legislation in the Senate. “This legislation secures America’s competitive edge in defense technology and reinforces our alliance with Israel, our greatest partner in the Middle East, to deter evolving global threats,” said Rep. Ronny Jackson. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we are ensuring the technological supremacy of our military and delivering the unmatched capabilities our warfighters need to dominate the battlefield and protect the American people.” “The U.S. has a long history of working with our ally Israel on defense programs to counter unmanned aerial systems from our adversaries, strengthen missile defense, and detect and neutralize underground tunnels threatening the security of our two respective countries,” said Senator Ted Budd. “The U.S.-Israel FUTURES Act offers an opportunity to strengthen existing bilateral programs by advancing joint investments such as emerging technologies, defense industrial base cooperation, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology initiatives. I am proud to be working with Senator Gillibrand to advance regional security in the Middle East and strengthen U.S. and Israeli defense.” “By establishing the United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative, we are fortifying a vital partnership, accelerating joint development, and transforming groundbreaking research into operational capabilities,” said Rep. Don Davis. “As emerging threats like unmanned systems and electronic warfare evolve, technical cooperation stands as a critical pillar in preparing our servicemembers for the challenges of tomorrow.” “This bipartisan initiative will enable long-term collaboration on shared security goals between the United States and our vital democratic ally Israel,” said Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. “We must strengthen our military and technological capabilities to counter continued and future threats in the region.” Foundation for Defense of Democracies Action, Tyler Stapleton, Senior Director of Government Relations: “The United States and Israel benefit enormously from each other's defense technologies and manufacturing efficiencies. Israel innovates and fields defense systems with rapid deployments out of necessity, given the layered and immediate threats it faces. The United States–Israel FUTURES Act builds on decades of successful collaboration by improving cooperation across the public, private, and academic sectors to swiftly develop, test, and field defense technologies that will help safeguard U.S. service members and provide Israel with the means to combat a diverse set of threats from foreign adversarial states and terror groups. FDD Action strongly supports the bipartisan United States-Israel FUTURES Act.”
