This bill amends Medicare to cover cancer care planning and coordination services provided by physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners. The covered services include development of a written treatment plan that incorporates shared decision-making and coordination of care elements, furnished at diagnosis, upon changes in condition or treatment preferences, at the end of active treatment, or upon cancer recurrence. Medicare would reimburse these services at the same rate as transitional care management services under the physician fee schedule, effective the first calendar year after enactment.
