Summary
This bill amends the Public Health Service Act to authorize $1 billion in federal capital grants for health centers and crisis mental health facilities. Eligible recipients include federally qualified health centers, tribal health organizations, crisis receiving and stabilization facilities, and crisis call centers that partner with local mental health and substance use providers. Funds may be used for facility construction, renovation, expansion, and related capital improvements to support crisis response services available 24/7 on a sliding-scale fee basis.
