Summary
The bill amends title 10 of the United States Code to set the grade of the Judge Advocate General of each military service (Army, Navy, Air Force) at lieutenant general or vice admiral, as appropriate, while serving in that role. It also provides that the Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant of the Marine Corps and certain Deputy Judge Advocates General are to be appointed at specified higher regular grades (lieutenant general or major general, or rear admiral or major general for the Navy) when they hold a lower regular grade. The bill's provisions concern the rank structure of military legal leadership and do not appear to address other aspects of military justice procedure.
