The Do or Dye Act amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to ban certain synthetic color additives in food. Beginning December 31, 2025, foods containing Citrus Red No. 2 or Orange B would be deemed adulterated and unsafe. Starting December 31, 2026, foods containing Red No. 40, Yellow No. 5, Yellow No. 6, Green No. 3, Blue No. 1, Blue No. 2, or substantially similar additives would also be prohibited.
