This bill requires the Secretary of Agriculture, in coordination with the Census Bureau, to establish and maintain an interagency food security measurement program that coordinates annual collection, analysis, and reporting of data on food insecurity and hunger. The bill mandates that the Current Population Survey include a food security supplement with specific questions about household food access, meal adequacy, and child nutrition for 2026 through 2028 and thereafter. The Secretary must publish annual reports with findings from these questions and submit them to Congress, with funding provided through an appropriation to the Department of Agriculture.
