Summary
The Fit Vets Act requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish a three-year pilot program providing enrolled veterans access to SilverSneakers or a comparable senior exercise program as part of VA health care. The program may operate on a national or regional basis at the Secretary's discretion. The VA must report to Congress within 180 days of the pilot's termination on participation rates, costs, health outcomes, and recommendations on making the program permanent.
