The MTS CYBER Act of 2026 directs the Comptroller General to conduct a review of the U.S. Coast Guard's budget, resources, and capabilities to fulfill its role as a co-Sector Risk Management Agency for the marine transportation system, particularly regarding cybersecurity oversight. The review must assess the sufficiency of Coast Guard funding for cybersecurity personnel, training, and enforcement; evaluate personnel capacity to assess industry compliance with cyber regulations; and evaluate guidance provided to maritime stakeholders. The Comptroller General must submit findings and recommendations to relevant congressional committees within 270 days of enactment.
