Summary
The bill amends title 23 of the U.S. Code to allow public information and education activities about noncompliant or counterfeit child restraint systems (car seats and booster seats) to be funded under federal highway safety programs. It also directs the Secretary of Transportation to carry out an education campaign, within one year of enactment, on the dangers of such products that do not meet federal safety standards and on methods for identifying and avoiding them, and authorizes $1,500,000 for that purpose.
