The bill mandates that wellness checks progress from electronic or telephone contact to in-person contact if the member does not respond, and requires unit commanders to coordinate with judge advocates on implementation, review critical information requirements, and host confidential wellness meetings with medical officers. The bill also requires the military services to develop training courses for service members and civilian personnel on the importance of health and welfare accountability.
