The ACCURATE Act directs the Under Secretary of Commerce for Standards and Technology to establish a Commission on Hazard Risk Assessment Tools within 180 days. The Commission will identify hazard risk assessment tools used by federal agencies, develop recommended standards and methodologies for validating these tools, and make recommendations for federal procurement best practices. The Under Secretary may then adopt, modify, or decline the Commission's recommendations and issue guidance to federal departments and agencies.
