Summary
The bill directs the Attorney General, through the Director of the OCDETF, to structure the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces within 180 days of enactment to combat transnational organized crime and reduce illicit narcotics availability using a prosecutor-led, multi-agency approach. It requires a joint report on the Task Forces' successes to six congressional committees within one year, to be released publicly in unclassified form to the greatest extent possible. The Act sunsets on January 20, 2029. Its findings describe OCDETF's history, staffing, and seizure revenues, though those findings are not themselves binding requirements.
