Summary
This bill requires the FDA to review pharmaceutical applications from Chinese entities and their licensees to determine whether they are affiliated with the Chinese government, Communist Party, or People's Liberation Army. The FDA is prohibited from approving new drug applications from such affiliated entities and must review previously approved applications submitted since January 1, 2016, with authority to refuse imports of drugs from identified affiliated entities, though waivers are permitted if a drug shortage would result.
