Summary
The AWARE Act directs the Federal Trade Commission to develop and publish educational resources for parents, educators, and minors about the safe and responsible use of AI chatbots by children under 18. The resources must cover how to identify safe and unsafe chatbot use, privacy and data collection practices, and best practices for parental supervision, and should be modeled on the FTC's existing Youville educational program. The FTC must complete and make these resources publicly available within 180 days of the bill's enactment.
