Summary
This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to allow taxpayers to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flexible Spending Arrangements (FSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), and Archer Medical Savings Accounts (MSAs) to pay for their parents' medical expenses. Currently, these tax-advantaged accounts are limited to covering the account holder, their spouse, and their dependents; this bill expands eligibility to include parents of either the account holder or their spouse. The amendments are effective for amounts paid or expenses incurred after December 31, 2024.
