Summary
This bill amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to require that all ballots in federal elections—including absentee and mail-in ballots—must be received by election officials by the time polls close on Election Day to be counted. The bill applies to primary, runoff, and special elections for federal office beginning in 2027, with an exception for ballots cast by uniformed services members and overseas voters. States would be prohibited from accepting or tabulating any ballot received after polls close.
