Summary
The bill directs the Secretary of Commerce to develop standards for geospatial data on fishing restrictions, recreational vessel use of the exclusive economic zone, and recreational access to federal waters. It requires the Secretary, within four years, to publish on a public website data on where fishing restrictions and recreational boating limits apply, the boundaries of those areas, and federally protected marine areas, with regular updates, while exempting certain historic, cultural, and commercial fishing information and tribal waters. It also authorizes partnerships with non-federal entities and clarifies that it does not alter navigable waters definitions, agency jurisdiction, fisheries management authority, or tribal treaty rights.
