This bill amends the Commodity Exchange Act to prohibit the listing and trading of event contracts based on terrorism, assassination, war, gaming, illegal activity, election outcomes, government activities, or other activities the Commodity Futures Trading Commission determines to be contrary to the public interest. The bill allows individual states to exempt themselves from the prohibition on gaming contracts. The amendments take effect 180 days after enactment.
