Summary
This bill amends the Public Health Service Act to establish a federal grant program providing up to $30 million annually (fiscal years 2027–2031) to support suicide stabilization services. Eligible entities—including community health centers, schools, crisis centers, and public health agencies—may use grants to implement evidence-based or evidence-informed stabilization services in the least-restrictive settings, including outpatient, virtual, and peer support models. Grantees must submit continuity plans to sustain services after the grant period ends, and the federal government will conduct evaluations and provide training and technical assistance.
