Summary
This bill requires VA physicians and nurse practitioners who are a veteran's primary care provider to certify the death of that veteran within 48 hours of learning of the death, when the death is from natural causes. If the VA provider cannot meet this deadline, a local coroner or medical examiner may certify the death instead.
